Does removing metadata change my original image?
No. The original file is left untouched and the system creates a separate cleaned download.
Can it remove only selected metadata?
For JPG, PNG, and WebP, you can remove selected container blocks such as EXIF, XMP, IPTC, comments, or ICC profiles. Related fields stored together in one block are removed together.
What happens to HEIC images?
Supported HEIC and HEIF files can be inspected and previewed. A cleaned copy is converted to JPEG so its metadata can be removed reliably.
Can metadata removal guarantee complete anonymity?
No. It removes the selected recognized metadata blocks, but the visible image itself or unrecognized application data may still reveal information. Review the cleaned image before sharing.
