The tab must remain open and audio must be allowed.

Create a duration timer or an event countdown to get started.

Countdown targets and paused time are saved on this device. Completion alerts require this page to remain open; device sleep and browser throttling can delay the visible update or sound.

  4. Copy a remaining-time summary or add an active event countdown to your calendar.

Frequently asked questions

Can I create more than one countdown?

Yes. You can keep up to twenty named countdowns and filter them by active, paused, or finished status.

What happens when I pause a countdown?

Its remaining duration is frozen. Resuming creates a new target from that remaining duration, so a paused event countdown no longer ends at its original date and time.

What is the difference between duration and date modes?

Duration mode counts down a chosen number of days, hours, minutes, and seconds from now. Date mode counts toward a specific date and time.

Will a sound play if the page is closed?

No. The page must remain open, and browser or device audio restrictions may still apply.

Can I put a countdown target in my calendar?

Yes. Calendar downloads a short event at an active countdown's target time. Paused and finished timers must be resumed or restarted first.
