Frequently asked questions

Does this account for daylight-saving time?

Yes. Each location uses the offset that applies on the selected date, so seasonal clock changes can produce different time differences during the year.

What happens when clocks skip a time?

The converter reports that the time does not exist instead of silently changing it.

What happens when clocks repeat a time?

When the clocks move back, some times occur twice with different UTC offsets. The converter shows both occurrences so you can choose the one you mean.

What does typical working hours mean?

It marks times from 08:00 through 17:59 as a quick meeting-planning aid. It does not account for individual schedules, weekends, or public holidays.

Why does the calendar event show a different time?

The event stores the selected moment in UTC. A calendar app then displays that same moment in the time zone configured on the device or calendar.
