How do I scale a recipe to more or fewer servings?

Enter the original serving count and the number you want, or use a scale shortcut. Every ingredient quantity is multiplied by the same factor and shown as both a practical fraction and a decimal.

Can I enter quantities such as 1 1/2 or ¾?

Yes. The scaler and converter accept decimals, typed fractions, mixed numbers, and common Unicode fraction characters. You can round results to the nearest quarter, eighth, or sixteenth.

Can this convert cups to grams?

No. Volume-to-weight conversion depends on the ingredient's density, so a cup of flour and a cup of sugar weigh different amounts. This tool converts within volume units (like cups to tablespoons) or within weight units (like ounces to grams), not between the two.

Can I convert oven temperatures?

Yes. Choose Temperature to convert Celsius and Fahrenheit. Because oven controls often use rounded increments, select the closest setting supported by your appliance.

Does scaling change cooking time or pan size?
