How to use

  1. Choose a PNG, JPEG, WebP, HEIC, or HEIF image and inspect its dimensions, file size, and live preview.
  2. Use a scale shortcut, enter exact dimensions, or resize by percentage. Keep the ratio locked, or choose fit, crop, or stretch when the target proportions differ.
  3. Choose whether enlargement is allowed, set crop focus or empty-space background when relevant, then select the output format, quality, and filename.
  4. Download the resized image and use the result card if you need the same generated file again.

Frequently asked questions

Why should I lock the aspect ratio?

Locking preserves the original proportions so the image does not appear stretched or squashed.

What is the difference between fit, fill and crop, and stretch?

Fit shows the whole image and may leave empty space. Fill and crop covers the complete output and trims overflow around your chosen focus. Stretch forces the image into the exact shape and can distort it.

What happens to transparent areas in JPEG?

JPEG cannot store transparency, so transparent pixels and empty fitted space use your selected background colour. PNG and WebP can keep empty space transparent.

Why is very large output blocked?

The system limits images to 8,192 pixels per side and 40 megapixels to reduce browser memory failures. Large source files can still require substantial memory while decoding.
