Frequently asked questions

Which keyboard controls are available?

Use Space to play or pause, Up or Down Arrow to change speed, R to reset, M to mirror the text, and F to enter or exit fullscreen. Shortcuts do not fire while you edit a form field.

Why would I mirror the text?

Horizontal mirroring is useful with physical teleprompter glass, which reflects the text back into the correct orientation.

Why does manual scrolling pause playback?

Wheel scrolling pauses automatic movement so it does not fight your manual position. Press Space or Resume when you are ready to continue.

How accurate is the remaining-time estimate?

It divides the remaining scroll distance by the selected pixel speed. Font size, line spacing, text width, and the stage size all affect it, so it is a scrolling estimate rather than a speaking-time guarantee.
