Clear writing begins with a simple idea, but careful revision gives that idea a useful shape. A quiet morning gives the mind room to work while small, consistent efforts build momentum. Technology is most useful when it removes friction and helps people finish the task at hand. The quickest route is not always a straight line; observation can reveal a better path. Practice builds confidence through repetition, patience, and attention to an even rhythm. Useful feedback explains what changed without distracting you from the next decision. A well-organized workspace reduces hesitation and makes complex projects easier to resume. Accuracy creates a foundation for speed because fewer corrections preserve your flow. Guide

How to use

  1. Choose a duration and difficulty. Enable focus mode if you prefer to hide live scores.
  2. Choose a font size for both typing areas and set the reading-area height independently. The timer begins with your first character and pasted text is blocked.
  3. Review net and raw WPM, accuracy, uncorrected errors, corrections, your personal best, and recent attempts.
Help

Frequently asked questions

How are net and raw WPM calculated?

Raw WPM uses all typed characters divided by five and scales that rate to one minute. Net WPM uses correctly typed characters. Accuracy is the correctly typed share of all entered characters.

How are omitted or inserted characters scored?

The scorer aligns nearby text before counting errors, so one missing or extra character does not automatically make every following character incorrect. The live passage coloring remains position-based so you can quickly see where to correct the line.

Can I keep or clear previous results?

You can export recent attempts as CSV or clear all saved results from the history section.

When does the timer start?

The timer starts when you type the first character, not when the page opens.

Will the passage move while I type?

No. The passage stays at your chosen scroll position while you type. You can scroll it yourself, change the font size in both typing areas, and adjust the reading-area height independently.

Why is pasting disabled?

Pasting is blocked in the test box so saved speed results represent keyboard input. Normal editing and correction keys remain available.
